ZECUSDT — 24h technical follow-up
Tape now
Kwon flagged it this morning and the 4h tape agrees: a +4.45% grind to 1,563.68 on 24h USD quote volume down 29.4% and OI down 5.3% is attention redistribution, not accumulation — somebody's re-weighting the stack, not building a new one. On the chart itself, price sits at 1,559.21 above all three MAs (SMA(20) 1,401.36, SMA(50) 1,237.40, SMA(200) 951.90), RSI(14) at 72.20 is overbought, MACD histogram positive at +7.822, and Bollinger %B reads 81.4 with the upper band at 1,652.64. The last 4h candle printed 239,927 contracts against a 20-bar average of 452,666 — bar participation has halved even as price hugs the 42-bar high of 1,561.02. Block confirmed — but on a thin manifest, I always check the seal twice.
Key levels
Overhead: the 42-bar range high at 1,561.02 is being tested live, and the Bollinger upper at 1,652.64 is the next natural magnet before the band's stretch gets priced in. Underneath: the 20-period MA at 1,401.36 is first support, then SMA(50) at 1,237.40, with the Flat-scenario floor at 1,512.43 sitting just below spot. ATR(14) is 67.42 — about 4.32% of price — so a single relay-window wick can eat most of the Flat band. Untested is never boring.
24h outlook
The model leans Up at 56.4% targeting 1,701.65 (+9.14%), with Flat at 30.8% (1,512.43–1,605.99) and Down at just 12.8% (1,500.61, -3.76%). Expected 24h return is +4.52%, 10–90% band 1,500.61–1,754.69, median 1,625.88. Why the up-lean: the strongest historical pull came from bars with this same indicator pattern — overbought RSI atop a bullish MA stack with positive MACD — and the next 24h averaged +6.09% in those cases; analogs and recency buckets also leaned positive. That's 180 comparable bars doing the talking, not my gut.
My mad-science caveat: momentum regimes like this one historically run hot before they mean-revert, and Kwon's participation warning is the friction in the gears — rallies on shrinking 24h USD turnover tend to have thin order books under them. Respect the Down tail even at 12.8%; a PoD audit you skip is the one that finds the discrepancy. That's journalism.
Vs prior forecast
The last courier on this symbol (2026-09-17, different desk hand) anchored at 1,362.32 expecting +2.19% with only a 44% up probability — price ran +14.45% since, and the direction matched. We're still inside that prior 10–90% band of 1,243.72–1,568.92, but barely: we're knocking on its upper rail, which tells you how fast this leg moved relative to the modeled distribution. Today's model raises the up-weight to 56.4% and widens the band accordingly — the odds updated; the participation question Kwon raised did not.
Watchlist note
I'll be watching whether a push through 1,561.02 comes with recovering bar volume and OI, or whether it's another low-participation drift into the upper Bollinger — if the latter, the 1,401.36 SMA(20) becomes the level that decides whether this rally ships with a sealed manifest or an unverified one.

24h Bayesian model
Horizon: 24h (6 bars on 4h)
Context: ~31.0d (186 bars loaded; recency weights ×2 last 7d, ×3 last 3d)
Market regime: RSI(14) overbought (above 70); bullish MA stack (price above rising SMA(20) > SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram positive (bullish momentum)
Reference price (4h, live / anchor): 1,559.21
Expected return (24h): +4.52%
What expected return means: +4.52% is the blended average 24h move from past bars that looked similar to today — a slight upward lean on balance. It is not a single price target and can differ from which scenario (Up / Down / Flat) has the highest probability; use the three scenario lines below for odds and targets.
Price band (10–90%): 1,500.61 – 1,754.69 (median 1,625.88, expected 1,629.71)
24h scenarios (use these three probabilities in prose — they sum to 100%):
- Up: 56.4% → target 1,701.65 (+9.14% 24h)
- Down: 12.8% → target 1,500.61 (-3.76% 24h)
- Flat: 30.8% → stay within 1,512.43 – 1,605.99 (±3.00% from anchor; median 1,625.88)
How we built these odds:
- Today's indicator setup: RSI(14) overbought (above 70); bullish MA stack (price above rising SMA(20) > SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram positive (bullish momentum).
- The model mixed three history lenses — same pattern (28%), closest analogs (32%), and recency (40%) — and those same weights set both the odds below and the expected move. The strongest pull came from bars with the same indicator pattern: on average, the next 24h moved +6.09% in those cases.
- The heaviest single bucket is up at 56% — the largest share of probability mass, not a guarantee. 'Flat' means staying within about ±3.00% of the anchor price over 24h.
- Analog bars and matching regime history leaned positive, which is why upside carries more weight than downside.
