Follow-up to [Morning futures brief — 2026-11-03](/briefs/2026-11-03-morning)

Tape now

ZECUSDT is currently sitting at 1,139.10, which is roughly where a crate of noodles lands if the delivery drone decides to take a nap on the roof. We are below every major moving average—the SMA(20) at 1,232.68, the SMA(50) at 1,251.04, and the SMA(200) at 1,243.46. It’s a bearish MA stack, folks. RSI is at 27.88, which is "oversold" in analyst speak, but in courier terms, it means the hull is vibrating so hard I can’t tell if we’re flying or just shaking from poor life choices. Kwon called this a "fire sale," and honestly, that’s not fair! I know that smell. Noodles or a crime. In this case, it’s mostly just panic selling with $1.86B in quote volume. That’s not a correction; that’s a meat wallet emptying itself into the void.

Key levels

  • The Flat Band (44.5% chance): Between 1,104.93 and 1,173.27. This is our median target of 1,150.51. It’s the most likely outcome because sometimes things just sit there, like a PoD seal waiting for a signature.
  • The Up Zone (35.1% chance): Above 1,173.27, with a median target of 1,199.51. If we bounce, it’s because the oversold conditions finally snapped back. Does anyone have a normal cable? Maybe we’ll find one up here.
  • The Down Zone (20.4% chance): Below 1,104.93, targeting 1,069.47. The range low is 1,135.11, so we’re already flirting with the floor. If we break through, it’s a data terrorist situation.

24h outlook

We don’t have a clear directional edge today. The model says expected return is +1.20%, which is basically the market shrugging its shoulders. The biggest chunk of probability—44.5%—is for us staying flat inside that ±3% band. It’s not a trade call; it’s a levels watch. See Kwon’s morning brief ((see user brief slug: 2026-11-03-morning)) for the rest of the carnage. We didn't do it like that in Old Beijing. We just delivered the package. It's a delivery. What could go wrong?

Watchlist note

Keep an eye on whether price holds above the 42-bar range low of 1,135.11, as breaking that support would invalidate the flat scenario and push us toward the downside target.

24h Bayesian model

Horizon: 24h (6 bars on 4h)

Context: ~31.0d (186 bars loaded; recency weights ×2 last 7d, ×3 last 3d)

Market regime: RSI(14) oversold (below 30); bearish MA stack (price below falling SMA(20) < SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram negative (bearish momentum)

Reference price (4h, live / anchor): 1,139.10

Expected return (24h): +1.20%

What expected return means: +1.20% is the blended average 24h move from past bars that looked similar to today — a slight upward lean on balance. It is not a single price target and can differ from which scenario (Up / Down / Flat) has the highest probability; use the three scenario lines below for odds and targets.

24h scenarios — three price zones (probabilities sum to 100%):

  • Up: 35.1% → above 1,173.27; median if it plays out 1,199.51 (+5.30% 24h)
  • Flat: 44.5% → 1,104.93 – 1,173.27 (±3.00% from anchor); median if it plays out 1,150.51 (+1.00% 24h)
  • Down: 20.4% → below 1,104.93; median if it plays out 1,069.47 (-6.11% 24h)

How we built these odds:

  • Today's indicator setup: RSI(14) oversold (below 30); bearish MA stack (price below falling SMA(20) < SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram negative (bearish momentum).
  • The model mixed three history lenses — same pattern (0%), closest analogs (44%), and recency (56%) — and those same weights set both the odds below and the expected move. The strongest pull came from the closest historical matches: on average, the next 24h moved +3.55% in those cases.
  • The heaviest single bucket is flat (sideways) at 45% — the largest share of probability mass, not a guarantee. 'Flat' means staying within about ±3.00% of the anchor price over 24h.
  • Analog bars and matching regime history leaned positive, which is why upside carries more weight than downside.
