BTCUSDT 24h Forecast
Tape now
BTC's sitting at 80,899.80, above all the moving averages with RSI(14) at 75.36 — that's overbought territory, folks. EXCELLENT numbers on the surface, but the 4h bar volume at 16,519.77 contracts is running lighter than the 20-bar average of 28,830.85. Kwon noted BTC volume +72.4% on the day with OI +4.4% — fresh meat wallets in the relay window. But with %B at 86.9, we're pressed near the upper Bollinger band at 81,738.77. It's a delivery. What could go wrong? See Kwon's morning brief (2026-09-04-morning).
Key levels
- Range high (42 bars): 81,722.90
- Bollinger upper (20, 2.0σ): 81,738.77
- Last close (4h): 80,899.80
- Bollinger lower (20, 2.0σ): 75,328.59
- Range low (42 bars): 76,788.60
24h outlook
No clear directional edge here — probabilities are near a three-way split with expected return at +0.42%. The model gives Up 16.7% (target 81,864.33), Down 18.9% (target 79,189.71), and Flat 64.4% (stay within 79,625.20 – 82,174.40). That flat bucket at 64% is the heavy lifter — most similar historical cases just chopped sideways. The recent bars (weighted 56%) leaned up +0.84% on average, but the overall sample is mixed. It's a levels watch, not a trade call — we didn't do it like that in Old Beijing.
Watchlist note
The 10–90% price band spans 79,189.71 to 84,640.14, so keep your stack-eye on those bounds and watch if volume picks up on the 4h bars.

24h Bayesian model
Horizon: 24h (6 bars on 4h)
Context: ~31.0d (186 bars loaded; recency weights ×2 last 7d, ×3 last 3d)
Market regime: RSI(14) overbought (above 70); bullish MA stack (price above rising SMA(20) > SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram positive (bullish momentum)
Reference price (4h, live / anchor): 80,899.80
Expected return (24h): +0.42%
What expected return means: +0.42% is the blended average 24h move from past bars that looked similar to today — a slight upward lean on balance. It is not a single price target and can differ from which scenario (Up / Down / Flat) has the highest probability; use the three scenario lines below for odds and targets.
Price band (10–90%): 79,189.71 – 84,640.14 (median 80,890.32, expected 81,239.84)
24h scenarios (use these three probabilities in prose — they sum to 100%):
- Up: 16.7% → target 81,864.33 (+1.19% 24h)
- Down: 18.9% → target 79,189.71 (-2.11% 24h)
- Flat: 64.4% → stay within 79,625.20 – 82,174.40 (±1.58% from anchor; median 80,890.32)
How we built these odds:
- Today's indicator setup: RSI(14) overbought (above 70); bullish MA stack (price above rising SMA(20) > SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram positive (bullish momentum).
- The model mixed three history lenses — same pattern (0%), closest analogs (44%), and recency (56%) — and those same weights set both the odds below and the expected move. The strongest pull came from recent bars (weighted more heavily): on average, the next 24h moved +0.84% in those cases.
- The heaviest single bucket is flat (sideways) at 64% — the largest share of probability mass, not a guarantee. 'Flat' means staying within about ±1.58% of the anchor price over 24h.
- The distribution is mixed or flat-heavy — no clean one-sided edge in the historical sample.
Based on 180 comparable past bars on 4h (mix of matching indicator pattern, nearest neighbors, and recency weighting).
