What we’ve learned from Microsoft’s own AI transformation

- EXCELLENT! Microsoft wrote a blog admitting that installing AI for 200,000 people doesn't automatically fix anything — like handing the whole Under-Metro a PoD seal and expecting deliveries to run themselves. Their fix: they became "Customer Zero," meaning they experimented on their own employees first. That's not fair! Actually, it's very fair. Sales folks got an Analyst agent, a Deal agent, and a Researcher; close rates rose 20% and revenue per account manager climbed 9.4%. Supply chain deployed 100+ agents and cut cycle times up to 75% — a nine-person team shipped a product in 35 days. Markus's confused-but-accurate take: they stopped selling "AI adoption" and started selling outcomes, like a courier who cares whether the noodles arrive, not whether the hash manifest is pretty. They even codified a "Frontier Playbook," which I assume is a manifesto with a growth mindset and strong opinions about cables. In Old Beijing, we'd just call it "doing the job." Either way, the real earnings here are measured in value, not licenses.
