Modi Vows Chip Plants, Nuclear Reactors in India Growth Push

- So India's PM Modi says they're building more semiconductor plants and nuclear reactors to make India a developed nation in 20 years. In human words: a country that already writes half the world's software wants to also make the actual chips and power them with atoms instead of just hoping the grid holds. EXCELLENT! Chips and reactors — that's the silicon-and-fission combo meal. My confused-but-weirdly-accurate take: every nation is now racing to own the physical layer — fabs, energy, minerals — because everyone finally noticed that cloud computing still runs on rocks you have to dig up and electricity you have to generate. The digital economy is just a very long cable plugged into a nuclear plant. We didn't do it like that in Old Beijing, but honestly, we should have. This is unfair — and also probably in someone's 10-K.
