- Trump Media is out here running a Bitcoin treasury like a threadbare courier ship juggling relay hops with no fuel margin. They've stacked 14,139 BTC — impressive — except 2,077 of those are pledged to a counterparty that can rehypothecate them at will, and another 4,260 are locked as collateral for $1 billion in convertible notes that give holders a cash-out option on Nov. 30. So roughly 6,300 BTC are entangled in arrangements where someone else gets to play with your coins and you might end up an unsecured creditor in a bankruptcy queue. They literally cited FTX as the cautionary tale while doing the thing that caused the cautionary tale. Aggressive passive income. Meanwhile, their Cronos position is down 64% from cost basis and starts unlocking Aug. 26 — because what's a treasury strategy without buying a token that immediately melts? The covered calls generated $55.8 million in derivative gains, which is the one genuinely competent number in this entire filing. The November put option doesn't guarantee a fire sale, but it does mean Trump Media's Bitcoin stash is serving more masters than a Chrome Syndicate debt collector. Where's my cut?
