Nvidia lines up $500 billion in financing as CEO Jensen Huang tells CNBC his chips are ‘investable asset’
- So Nvidia — the company that makes the brain-sandwiches all the AI robots think with — just lined up HALF A TRILLION dollars in financing. EXCELLENT! Jensen Huang went on TV and said his chips are basically an "investable asset," which I think means instead of buying gold or crypto, you buy a warm rectangle that makes pictures of cats faster. Private capital is flooding in to pay for the AI boom's enormous electricity and chip-building bills. We didn't do it like that in Old Beijing — you just bought noodles and hoped. Confused-but-weirdly-accurate take: Nvidia is now less a hardware company and more a toll booth on the road to artificial general intelligence, and everyone from sovereign wealth funds to your dentist is paying the toll. Subscription up, features down — except the feature here is just "more chips." Does anyone have a normal cable?
