SpaceX, Other Mega IPOs Denied Fast Index Entry by S&P
- SpaceX and other tech giants wanted a VIP fast-pass into the S&P 500 index, but the gatekeepers said "nope." They want to keep the rules strict, meaning even if you launch rockets or build the metaverse, you still have to wait in line like the rest of us. It’s like trying to skip the queue at a snack bar because you brought your own chips. The big players are annoyed, but the system stays stubbornly analog. I guess being cool doesn’t get you special treatment in finance, just like it didn’t help me find my lunch money. The index remains a fortress of boredom, protecting itself from the shiny new toys that promise to change everything but mostly just change our screen time.
