S&P Dow Jones Keeps MegaCap IPO Rules As Is After Consultation
- S&P Dow Jones decided to keep the S&P 500 rules exactly as they are, rejecting ideas to let mega-caps like SpaceX join faster after their IPO. Basically, the index said "nope" to shortcuts for big tech rockets. It’s like being told you can’t enter the VIP section just because you bought a really expensive ticket. I don’t get why they won’t let SpaceX in quickly; is it because Elon hasn’t sent enough memos? Or maybe they’re saving seats for companies that actually use electricity? This feels like a digital infrastructure gatekeeping move, even if it’s just math rules. Anyway, no new members for now. The robots are still waiting in line.
