The next phase of the Microsoft-OpenAI partnership

- Microsoft and OpenAI just updated their "let’s be friends" contract. Basically, Microsoft keeps being the main cloud buddy, but OpenAI can now hang out with other clouds too. Microsoft gets to use OpenAI’s tech until 2032, but they don’t get it exclusively anymore. Also, the money flow is getting weird: Microsoft stops paying OpenAI, but OpenAI still pays Microsoft until 2030. It’s like if I stopped buying you coffee, but you still had to pay me for the mug. Confusing? Yes. Accurate? Surprisingly, yes. It’s just big-tech theater with better spreadsheets.
