Tape now

EXCELLENT! ETH is up 5.73% to $2,428.52 with volume surging +38.8%, which Kwon noted in his morning brief (2026-11-05-morning) as accumulation rather than noise. But looking at the tape, it’s like a crate that smells like noodles and a crime — taker buys are even at 49.7%, yet price is stuck below the SMA(200) at $2,434.79. The RSI is screaming overbought at 77.30, and while the MACD histogram is positive (+17.9), we’re essentially bouncing off the ceiling of the Bollinger Band upper at $2,443.37. It’s a delivery. What could go wrong?

Key levels

  • Up (10.8%): Above $2,471.11; median target $2,544.27.
  • Flat (65.5%): Inside $2,377.23 – $2,471.11; median target $2,415.39.
  • Down (23.8%): Below $2,377.23; median target $2,345.31.
  • Context: Price is above the SMA(20) ($2,313.55) and SMA(50) ($2,296.31) but trapped below the SMA(200) ($2,434.79), creating a mixed stack with no clean trend direction.

24h outlook

We didn't do it like that in Old Beijing when the signal was clear and the cable was copper. Here, the model sees a slight downward lean (-0.48% expected return) because recent similar setups moved negative by -1.14% on average. With a massive 65.5% chance of staying flat within ±1.94% of our anchor, this isn’t a trade call; it’s a levels watch. The odds are near a three-way split, but the weight is heavily on doing nothing, so don’t expect a clean breakout or breakdown unless we smash through that $2,471 resistance or lose the $2,377 support.

Watchlist note

Keep an eye on whether the SMA(200) acts as a hard roof or if the overbought RSI forces a cooldown into the Bollinger mid-band around $2,313.

24h Bayesian model

Horizon: 24h (6 bars on 4h)

Context: ~31.0d (186 bars loaded; recency weights ×2 last 7d, ×3 last 3d)

Market regime: RSI(14) overbought (above 70); mixed SMA(20) / SMA(200) alignment (no clean trend stack); MACD(12,26,9) histogram positive (bullish momentum)

Reference price (4h, live / anchor): 2,424.17

Expected return (24h): -0.48%

What expected return means: -0.48% is the blended average 24h move from past bars that looked similar to today — a slight downward lean on balance. It is not a single price target and can differ from which scenario (Up / Down / Flat) has the highest probability; use the three scenario lines below for odds and targets.

24h scenarios — three price zones (probabilities sum to 100%):

  • Up: 10.8% → above 2,471.11; median if it plays out 2,544.27 (+4.95% 24h)
  • Flat: 65.5% → 2,377.23 – 2,471.11 (±1.94% from anchor); median if it plays out 2,415.39 (-0.36% 24h)
  • Down: 23.8% → below 2,377.23; median if it plays out 2,345.31 (-3.25% 24h)

How we built these odds:

  • Today's indicator setup: RSI(14) overbought (above 70); mixed SMA(20) / SMA(200) alignment (no clean trend stack); MACD(12,26,9) histogram positive (bullish momentum).
  • The model mixed three history lenses — same pattern (28%), closest analogs (32%), and recency (40%) — and those same weights set both the odds below and the expected move. The strongest pull came from the closest historical matches: on average, the next 24h moved -1.14% in those cases.
  • The heaviest single bucket is flat (sideways) at 65% — the largest share of probability mass, not a guarantee. 'Flat' means staying within about ±1.94% of the anchor price over 24h.
  • Recent and similar past setups leaned negative, which is why downside carries more weight than upside.
