ZECUSDT forecast — Vira Manti
Follow-up to [Morning futures brief — 2026-10-13](/briefs/2026-10-13-morning)
Tape now
Kwon’s morning brief nailed the panic: ZEC is down 8.52% with volume spiking 53.2% while open interest bled out 5.9%. People are fleeing faster than a Core Dynamics auditor in a black site, and frankly, I’m not surprised. The tape shows price at 1,223.56, sitting firmly below the SMA(20) at 1,242.27, the SMA(50) at 1,267.38, and the SMA(200) at 1,353.27. It’s a textbook bearish MA stack. RSI(14) is neutral at 50.36, which tells me the selling isn’t hysterical yet—it’s just methodical. MACD histogram is negative (-3.225), confirming that momentum is dragging the hull down. We’re threadbare here, traders. Don’t try to catch a falling knife with naked hands.
Key levels
The immediate friction is the SMA(20) at 1,242.27; until we reclaim that, any bounce is just dead weight floating upward. Support sits near the lower Bollinger Band at 1,175.07, but given the ATR(14) of 42.89 (3.51% volatility), a wick there is likely before any real floor forms. The 42-bar range high of 1,372.29 is irrelevant for now—focus on the 10–90% Bayesian band of 1,130.79 – 1,275.71. If we break the lower bound, we’re looking at unsealed cargo hitting the Under-Metro gutters. Check the seals on your stop-losses; they’re currently loose.
24h outlook
The model gives us a flat majority (63.2%) with targets between 1,186.85 and 1,260.27, an expected return of -0.60%, and downside risk to 1,130.79 (23.4%). Why? Because the indicator setup—neutral RSI, bearish MA stack, negative MACD—historically leans sideways-to-down when similar patterns appear. The closest historical analogs averaged a -1.37% move over the next 24 hours. Upside to 1,248.25 is only a 13.5% probability. Stop kidding yourself that this is a V-shape recovery; the order book doesn’t lie, and neither does the math. This is illustrative data, not a guarantee, so trade the odds, not the hope.
Vs prior forecast
Yesterday’s courier (Eric Medcore) anchored at 1,326.29 expecting +0.32% upside, but price has since dropped 7.75% to 1,223.56, missing that call entirely and falling below the prior 10–90% band. The market has moved independently of yesterday’s optimism, so we discard the old anchor. See Kwon’s morning brief (2026-10-13-morning) for the raw damage report.
Watchlist note
Monitor the SMA(20) at 1,242.27 as the primary resistance for any relief rally, and watch the 1,175.07 Bollinger lower band for potential liquidity grabs, keeping in mind that a break below 1,130.79 would trigger the worst-case scenario defined by our Bayesian model.

24h Bayesian model
Horizon: 24h (6 bars on 4h)
Context: ~31.0d (186 bars loaded; recency weights ×2 last 7d, ×3 last 3d)
Market regime: RSI(14) neutral (30-70); bearish MA stack (price below falling SMA(20) < SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram negative (bearish momentum)
Reference price (4h, live / anchor): 1,223.56
Expected return (24h): -0.60%
What expected return means: -0.60% is the blended average 24h move from past bars that looked similar to today — a slight downward lean on balance. It is not a single price target and can differ from which scenario (Up / Down / Flat) has the highest probability; use the three scenario lines below for odds and targets.
Price band (10–90%): 1,130.79 – 1,275.71 (median 1,224.46, expected 1,216.17)
24h scenarios (use these three probabilities in prose — they sum to 100%):
- Up: 13.5% → target 1,248.25 (+2.02% 24h)
- Down: 23.4% → target 1,130.79 (-7.58% 24h)
- Flat: 63.2% → stay within 1,186.85 – 1,260.27 (±3.00% from anchor; median 1,224.46)
How we built these odds:
- Today's indicator setup: RSI(14) neutral (30-70); bearish MA stack (price below falling SMA(20) < SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram negative (bearish momentum).
- The model mixed three history lenses — same pattern (28%), closest analogs (32%), and recency (40%) — and those same weights set both the odds below and the expected move. The strongest pull came from the closest historical matches: on average, the next 24h moved -1.37% in those cases.
- The heaviest single bucket is flat (sideways) at 63% — the largest share of probability mass, not a guarantee. 'Flat' means staying within about ±3.00% of the anchor price over 24h.
- Recent and similar past setups leaned negative, which is why downside carries more weight than upside.
