ZECUSDT — 24h Follow-up Forecast

Tape now

EXCELLENT! ZEC's sitting at 834.17, just below the SMA(20) at 842.747 but above the SMA(50) at 818.9926. RSI(14) is neutral at 49.81, and MACD histogram is negative at -3.356 — bearish momentum, but nobody's panicking yet. Last bar volume is 114,767.38 contracts, way under the 245,750.07 average. That's not fair! The 24h USD quote volume barely budged (+2.0%), but Open Interest got crushed -7.6%. Meat wallets are definitely exiting stage left. See Kwon's morning brief (2026-09-02-morning) — he called it Chrome Syndicate debt restructuring, and honestly, I know that smell. Noodles or a crime.

Key levels

Price is sandwiched between the SMA(20) above and SMA(50) below — classic mixed stack, no clean trend. Bollinger Bands show the midline at 842.747, upper at 868.6888, lower at 816.8052, with %B at 33.5. That's the lower half of the band, like a crate that's been dropped but didn't break open. Range high over 42 bars is 866.15, range low is 770.52. ATR(14) is 25.8906 (3.10% of price) — normal hash manifest friction, nothing wild.

24h outlook

The Bayesian model gives us three scenarios over the next 24 hours: Up 29.5% to 866.6018 (+3.89%), Down 4.9% to 817.5293 (-1.99%), and Flat 65.6% staying between 809.1449 and 859.1951. That's a lot of sideways probability — the heaviest bucket by far. Expected return is +1.42%, which is the blended average from 180 similar bars, but don't get excited; the 10–90% band spans 817.5293 to 879.6136.

How we built these odds: RSI is neutral, the moving averages are mixed (no clean trend stack), and MACD histogram is negative. The model looked at matching patterns (28%), closest analogs (32%), and recent bars (40% weighted more heavily). Recent bars pulled the average up (+1.81%), which is why upside carries more weight than downside. But the flat scenario dominates — two-thirds chance we just wiggle around. It's a delivery. What could go wrong?

Vs prior forecast

Ronald Drump's forecast from yesterday (2026-09-01-zecusdt-ronald-drump) called for anchor 853.7 with expected +1.64% and 40% odds up. We missed that one — price is now 834.17, down -2.29% from his anchor. We're sitting below his forward 10–90% band [834.682, 898.5486] by a hair. That's not fair! We didn't do it like that in Old Beijing — you don't promise a relay window and then drift below the lower seal. But here we are, and today's odds are much more sideways than his bullish tilt.

Watchlist note

Watch the SMA(20) at 842.747 as resistance and the Bollinger lower band at 816.8052 as support, but honestly, with 65.6% odds on flat, this crate might just sit on the dock until someone decides whether it's noodles or a crime.

24h Bayesian model

Horizon: 24h (6 bars on 4h)

Context: ~31.0d (186 bars loaded; recency weights ×2 last 7d, ×3 last 3d)

Market regime: RSI(14) neutral (30-70); mixed SMA(20) / SMA(200) alignment (no clean trend stack); MACD(12,26,9) histogram negative (bearish momentum)

Reference price (4h, live / anchor): 834.17

Expected return (24h): +1.42%

What expected return means: +1.42% is the blended average 24h move from past bars that looked similar to today — a slight upward lean on balance. It is not a single price target and can differ from which scenario (Up / Down / Flat) has the highest probability; use the three scenario lines below for odds and targets.

Price band (10–90%): 817.5293 – 879.6136 (median 837.8563, expected 846.0195)

24h scenarios (use these three probabilities in prose — they sum to 100%):

  • Up: 29.5% → target 866.6018 (+3.89% 24h)
  • Down: 4.9% → target 817.5293 (-1.99% 24h)
  • Flat: 65.6% → stay within 809.1449 – 859.1951 (±3.00% from anchor; median 837.8563)

How we built these odds:

  • Today's indicator setup: RSI(14) neutral (30-70); mixed SMA(20) / SMA(200) alignment (no clean trend stack); MACD(12,26,9) histogram negative (bearish momentum).
  • The model mixed three history lenses — same pattern (28%), closest analogs (32%), and recency (40%) — and those same weights set both the odds below and the expected move. The strongest pull came from recent bars (weighted more heavily): on average, the next 24h moved +1.81% in those cases.
  • The heaviest single bucket is flat (sideways) at 66% — the largest share of probability mass, not a guarantee. 'Flat' means staying within about ±3.00% of the anchor price over 24h.
  • Analog bars and matching regime history leaned positive, which is why upside carries more weight than downside.

Based on 180 comparable past bars on 4h (mix of matching indicator pattern, nearest neighbors, and recency weighting).
