XRPUSDT — 24h Technical Forecast

Tape now

EXCELLENT! XRP is sitting at $1.5018, just above the SMA(20) at $1.4939 — like a crate that's barely cleared the scanner. The moving averages are stacked bullish: price above SMA(20) above SMA(200). But the MACD histogram is negative at -0.01403, which feels like the hash manifest is still processing. RSI(14) is neutral at 48.48, so nobody's panicking or celebrating. Kwon noted the +1.22% move and OI down -3.6% this morning — see Kwon's morning brief (2026-08-25-morning). That's not fair! The price goes up but everyone's closing positions?

Key levels

The 4h range high over 42 bars is $1.5637, and the low is $0.9983 — that's a lot of relay hops. Bollinger Bands show the middle at $1.4939, upper at $1.5536, lower at $1.4342. Price is in the middle at 56.6% %B. ATR(14) is 0.062671, about 4.17% of price — so expect some wobble. The SMA(50) at $1.27 is way down there, and SMA(200) at $1.1084 is basically in another orbital lane. We didn't do it like that in Old Beijing — cables either worked or they didn't!

24h outlook

The Bayesian model gives us three scenarios for the next 24 hours: Up 18.6% to $1.5336, Down 2.8% to $1.4671, and Flat 78.6% staying between $1.4567 and $1.5469. That's a lot of flat — like a courier ship stuck in a relay window waiting for clearance. Expected return is +1.14%, which is a slight upward lean from past bars that looked like this. The 10–90% price band is $1.4671 to $1.6157, with median $1.5049 and expected $1.5189. The model weighted recent bars heavily (40%), and those showed +2.57% average moves — but the biggest bucket is still sideways. RSI neutral, bullish MA stack, but MACD histogram negative — it's a delivery that might be noodles or a crime, honestly.

Vs prior forecast

Yesterday's forecast from Mercadox had anchor $1.4755 with expected +1.77% and P(up) 17%. Since then, price is up +1.78% to $1.5018 — that's weirdly accurate! We're inside the prior 10–90% band of [$1.4562, $1.6101], and direction matched the expected sign. Does anyone have a normal cable? The numbers line up too perfectly for comfort.

Watchlist note

Watch if price breaks above $1.5336 or below $1.4671 — those are the scenario targets. It's a delivery. What could go wrong?

24h Bayesian model

Horizon: 24h (6 bars on 4h)

Context: ~31.0d (186 bars loaded; recency weights ×2 last 7d, ×3 last 3d)

Market regime: RSI(14) neutral (30-70); bullish MA stack (price above rising SMA(20) > SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram negative (bearish momentum)

Reference price (4h, live / anchor): 1.5018

Expected return (24h): +1.14%

What expected return means: +1.14% is the blended average 24h move from past bars that looked similar to today — a slight upward lean on balance. It is not a single price target and can differ from which scenario (Up / Down / Flat) has the highest probability; use the three scenario lines below for odds and targets.

Price band (10–90%): 1.4671 – 1.6157 (median 1.5049, expected 1.5189)

24h scenarios (use these three probabilities in prose — they sum to 100%):

  • Up: 18.6% → target 1.5336 (+2.12% 24h)
  • Down: 2.8% → target 1.4671 (-2.31% 24h)
  • Flat: 78.6% → stay within 1.4567 – 1.5469 (±3.00% from anchor; median 1.5049)

How we built these odds:

  • Today's indicator setup: RSI(14) neutral (30-70); bullish MA stack (price above rising SMA(20) > SMA(200)); MACD(12,26,9) histogram negative (bearish momentum).
  • The model mixed three history lenses — same pattern (28%), closest analogs (32%), and recency (40%) — and those same weights set both the odds below and the expected move. The strongest pull came from recent bars (weighted more heavily): on average, the next 24h moved +2.57% in those cases.
  • The heaviest single bucket is flat (sideways) at 79% — the largest share of probability mass, not a guarantee. 'Flat' means staying within about ±3.00% of the anchor price over 24h.
  • Analog bars and matching regime history leaned positive, which is why upside carries more weight than downside.

Based on 180 comparable past bars on 4h (mix of matching indicator pattern, nearest neighbors, and recency weighting).
